Eligibility

Who is eligible for this offer?

You may be eligible if all four of these are true:

1

Your contribution rate is 17.5% or less for everyday support and 5% or less for independence support, as assessed by Services Australia.

2

You are using 80% or more of your funded budget on care, excluding purchases such as equipment.

3

You are a new or returning customer starting with Gratitude between 1 July and 1 October 2026, with onboarding complete. Existing customers who meet the conditions can also qualify.

4

Your care plan is current and you are meeting your obligations under the Gratitude Customer Agreement.

Quick eligibility check

A guide only. We confirm every condition with you before the offer is applied.

1. Has Services Australia assessed you as a full pensioner?
2. Are you using 80% or more of your funded budget on care?
3. Will you be starting with Gratitude within the offer period, or are you already with us?
4. Is your care plan current, with your most recent review complete?

Nothing you select here is sent anywhere.

How it works

Three steps.

1

We confirm your eligibility

Our team checks the four conditions with you, including that Services Australia has assessed you as a full pensioner. We review your statement with you, so there’s no paperwork to fill in.

2

We set up your services

Your care plan is built around what you actually need. Existing customers keep their services and team. New customers have services arranged with them.

3

You pay $0 in contributions

For 12 months from your start date, on eligible ongoing services. It’s applied automatically, so there’s nothing for you to claim.

The fine detail

What the offer doesn’t cover.

These sit outside the offer, and you continue to pay for them in the normal way.

If you self-manage and use your own providers, the 10% invoice-processing fee on those invoices continues to apply.

  • Assistive technology and home modifications
  • Providers you engage yourself, and the fees on those invoices
  • Consumables, tolls, parking and anything charged at cost
  • Services outside your approved care plan or budget
  • Items excluded under Support at Home funding rules
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Eligibility and applying

Am I eligible for this offer?

You may be eligible if you are a full pensioner assessed by Services Australia at 17.5% or less for everyday support and 5% or less for independence support, you use 80% or more of your funded budget on care, you start with Gratitude between 1 July and 1 October 2026, and your care plan is current. We confirm every condition with you before the offer is applied.

Do I need to apply for this offer?

No form is needed. Your means assessment with Services Australia must be completed first, and we use that information to apply the offer for you. If you still need to complete your assessment, you can call Services Australia on 1800 227 475.

How do I know if I’m a full pensioner?

You can check through myGov or the Centrelink app, look at your Services Australia letter, or call Services Australia on 132 300. We also verify this before the offer is applied.

What if I disagree with my pension assessment?

You would need to ask Services Australia to review it. We can explain how the assessment works, but we can’t change it.

What if I don’t use 80% of my budget?

The offer wouldn’t apply for now. We will never suggest services just to reach that threshold. We check your eligibility again at your care plan reviews.

When do I need to join?

You need to start with us between 1 July and 1 October 2026. Existing customers who meet the conditions are assessed from 1 July 2026.

How the offer works

Do I receive the full 12 months?

Yes. The 12 months run from your start date with Gratitude or, for existing customers, from when the offer is applied.

How will the offer appear in my account?

Your statements show the full price of each service, the contribution amount, and the Gratitude credit that covers it.

How do I know the offer has been applied?

We confirm your eligibility in writing, and your monthly statements show the credit.

Will my budget still show my contribution amount?

Yes. Your budget still shows the contribution set by Services Australia. Your assessment and your funding don’t change.

What services are covered by the offer?

The contributions on eligible ongoing Gratitude services in your care plan and budget. Clinical care is already $0 to you.

Can I use any service provider?

The offer covers Gratitude services only. Third-party providers you arrange yourself, and the fees on their invoices, aren’t covered.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Gratitude doesn’t charge platform, package-management, operational or invoice-handling fees. If you self-manage and use third-party providers, a 10% invoice-processing fee applies to those invoices.

Will the offer affect the quality of my care?

No. Your care, services, support workers and care manager stay the same.

Will this affect my pension or Centrelink payments?

We can’t advise on this. The offer is non-transferable and can’t be redeemed for cash. Please check with Services Australia or Centrelink.

Changes and ending

What happens if it turns out I’m not eligible after I join?

The offer stops from the date we notify you. Contributions we have already covered won’t be charged back. We’ll write to you and give you a chance to discuss it.

What if my contribution rate changes during the 12 months?

If your rate goes down, the lower rate is applied in full. If it goes up but stays within the offer conditions, we cover the new amount. If it rises above the conditions, we continue to cover the previous amount for the rest of your 12 months.

Could I ever be asked to pay contributions during the offer period?

Yes, in some cases, for example for services the offer doesn’t cover, services outside your care plan, or if you no longer meet the eligibility conditions. We would tell you in writing at least 14 days beforehand.

Can I leave Gratitude during the offer period?

Yes, with the notice set out in your Customer Agreement. There is no exit fee, and amounts we have already covered aren’t charged back.

What happens after the 12 months ends?

Standard Support at Home contributions resume, never above the rate set by Services Australia. The offer doesn’t renew automatically. We will tell you at least 14 days beforehand whether it can be extended.
