The Support at Home program highest level of funding to exceed the current level 4 HCP subsidy by 27%

The Support at Home program will replace the current Home Care Packages (HCP) and Short-Term Restorative Care Programs as of July 1, 2025. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) will join in by July 1, 2027.

This major reform aims to empower older Australians to live independently at home for longer, with more personalised support options and increased funding levels.

✨ More Funding: With 8 levels of funding reaching up to $78,000 annually, there’s up to 27% more than current Level 4 Home Care Packages ($61,440.45/year).

With the highest ongoing classification now exceeding Level 4, if you’re already on a level 4 HCP and require additional support, you could get more funding under the support at home program.

✨ Impact: By 2035, around 1.4 million Australians will benefit from the new program!

✨ Easier Access: Combining CHSP and Home Care Package funding will make it easier for seniors on CHSP to find the right providers and support.
